Motor Fest is returning for its second year after a highly successful inaugural event that exceeded expectations and demonstrated the community's enthusiasm for classic cars, family-friendly entertainment, and downtown experiences.
In its first year, Motor Fest welcomed more than 150 registered vehicles and attracted over 700 attendees who enjoyed a beautiful day in Historic Downtown Palmetto. The event not only brought visitors to the district but also generated meaningful support for local organizations and businesses. Through the event, Palmetto Downtown Main Street was proud to donate $2,000 to Feeding Empty Little Tummies (F.E.L.T.), along with a collection of food donations to help stock their pantry and support local families in need.
The event also created positive economic and cultural impacts throughout downtown. The Palmetto Historical Park experienced an increase in visitation, welcoming approximately 150 visitors during the event. This type of activity reflects the purpose of the Main Street approach, which focuses on strengthening local businesses, supporting community assets, and creating experiences that encourage residents and visitors to explore downtown.
For the 2027 Motor Fest, Palmetto Downtown Main Street is expanding its community impact by supporting two important local organizations. A portion of event proceeds will benefit our local veterans through the VFW Post 2488, which serves as a gathering place and resource for veterans throughout the community. In addition, we will continue our partnership with Feeding Empty Little Tummies, helping ensure local children and families have access to the food assistance they need.
Motor Fest is more than a car show. It is a community celebration that brings people together, supports local organizations, and highlights the unique character and charm of Historic Downtown Palmetto. If you would like to support us please click the link below.
